Lewis and Clark

Forest trail through old-growth cedar trees lined with ferns

Lewis and Clark State Park has unique accommodations for equestrian recreation on the east side of Jackson Highway. Spacious parking lots make it easy to park trailers and horse corrals are even available alongside equestrian camping and trails.

On the west side of the highway, the park features hiking trails through huge old-growth cedars, camping and day use and picnic areas.

Because there is no lake or river in this park, this gorgeous park often has capacity during the summer when nearby Ike Kinswa state park (on Mayfield Lake) is busy.
